(Phoenix, Arizona) — On the first Friday of every month, thousands of people descend on Downtown Phoenix to check out art galleries, watch street performers, and participate in social and political networking.

This highlight video was recorded on a stretch of Roosevelt Street between Central Avenue and Seventh Street, known as Roosevelt Row.

First Friday serves as a block party or social gathering and it is open and free to the general public. First Fridays are centered on art and entertainment.

The event seeks to promote the arts, individual performers and artists, as well as foster businesses in downtown Phoenix.

A stroll by Roosevelt Row is an encounter with arts, culture, art venues, murals, and many artistic expressions.

Roosevelt Row offers a diverse array of artistic options including food, crafts, music, poetry, fashion and street artists.

Visitors can see and purchase public art, enjoy live music and dance performances, stroll through art galleries, boutiques, and eat and drink at vibrant places.
