(Phoenix, Arizona) — The Teotihuacan: City of Water, City of Fire traveling exhibition is being hosted by the Phoenix Art Museum. This impressive exhibition is composed of more than 200 exceptional objects from the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City.

The exhibition is organized by the de Young Museum in San Francisco in partnership with the National Institute of Anthropology and History of Mexico.

Teotihuacan: City of Water, City of Fire offers an inclusive vision into the art, everyday life, and religion of the people of this mythical ancient Mesoamerican city, and its influence on other regions of Mesoamerica.

The exhibition explores the archaeological history of the City of the Gods through exceptional sculptures, friezes, murals, figures, stone carvings, masks and other representative objects from one of the most mysterious and captivating ancient civilizations from modern Mexico.

Teotihuacan: City of Water, City of Fire will be exhibited from October 6, 2018 to January 27, 2017.
